Yes, I’ve always been a picky eater…or let’s say a discerning diner. I was always the odd one out in the family, while everyone else was eating platters of seafood, and Chinese food I was eating hamburgers. I was always raised to try foods before declaring that I didn’t like them, and I would. However, I do want to say it’s not that I don’t like a variety of foods, there’s just a larger variety that I don’t like. I have throughout my life tried foods again, I realize that as we age our palate changes, and doing this has opened some new foods that I wouldn’t have eaten when I was younger. Even Korina eats a bigger variety of foods than I do.

On top of my discerning tastes, a healthy lifestyle was never a priority in my family. As a whole, we weren’t a physically active family. Not to say that we were lazy, it’s just sports, and exercise weren’t activities we did. I never learned or cared to learn how to eat better or take care of myself as a whole.
Over the years I have had to learn how to take care of myself. In future posts I will discuss different ways I’ve learned to care for myself. And in turn, I learned that caring for my physical self is as important as caring for my emotional self. But learning techniques and systems that are beneficial and sustainable has been an ongoing battle.

I have found using a planner has helped me maintain my healthy lifestyle. It’s best use is It to track my meals and daily activities daily. This planner on Amazon was been the best for keeping me organized!
